Wow, no surprise the CC companies put no-Internet clauses within their T&C's!

Not only many people, many people. Think about the average America online user (nothing against America online). They require America online since it holds your hands online. They are not computer savvy and certainly dont maintain computer news. They'll answer anything searching official...including giving cc info, ssn, address, phone..everything a cc fraudster would want.

Surely, however, the onus is around the Web service provider (whether or not they are America online, or some local outfit) to make sure their clients understand the security and privacy implications from the web? Legally, it is not, but morally they ought to ensure clients realize that information for example CC particulars ought to be encoded, and let them know the way they realize it has been encoded.

It is a shame these unexpected things happen, since the long-term effect is lack of confidence by customers in purchasing online.
America online does not hold your hands online, they hold your hands through all of their America online network, which isn't area of the internet.

All individuals America online keyword sites are just accessible in the America online network, which isn't the web. A lot of people that join America online and do not really question why they cannot use IE or NN.

There's a control button or text entry within the America online browser that allows them visit the internet, but many of individuals individuals don't understand what their doing, this is exactly why they join America online, for email.

I'd prefer to be on WebTV....LOL
