Hey all.

I'm searching for some hosting and I wish to escape from my current provider (which is one cheapy ones).

I've in reality used Hostgator and Namecheap before however it was not long ago and also the situation might have transformed since that time. These two hosts where pretty nice to make use of.

Basiclly my question today is, who's better? Hostgator or Namecheap?

They're around comparable cost for me personally (I would need to pay $7 per month approximately) however i want the quickest and many reliable hosting company provider.

This site sells services on and has live chat software installed. It's growing, increased traffic and much more content so its vital that you choose a number I'm able to stick with for a while.

Please would you share your knowledge about these two hosts. I'd be very grateful and I am sure a number of other customers would to.

Thanks ahead of time.

Edit: Also didn't remember to say that i'm keen to possess a 'secure' hosting company. I understand you will find limits since they're shared, but what host would safeguard me most basically was to become a victim of the Web sites or something like that like this?

Many thanks.
I'd highly recommend while using WHT search bar and search for reviews around the hosts you've asked about. You will notice both good and bad reviews. This is the easiest method to make an informed decision. All the best!
I can not say much about title cheap but previously I have tried personally hostgator hosting that is shared and also the server remained as mentioned within their SLA. Phone support is nice. Chat support is nice. But which was a couple of years ago. So rating from there I'd give tham a A+.
I believe your good choosing hostgator. NameCheap is perfect for domain names , and HostGator is perfect for hosting. I have used both companies before for domain names and hosting companies both of them are good companies and complete the job. I believe this can be a 50/50.
HostGator is exactly what I'd chose, between individuals two.
There is however also a number of other good hosts to select from.
Opt for NameCheap is the greatest
Hostgator WAS good some years back, but with the limitless overselling things went downhill.

Here's my ideas. I did previously use HG once the sites I had been dealing with were at their beginning stages, but these have advanced beyond what HG could handle, and so i could not return basically wanted too.

What's the status of the sites? Just how much traffic would you average per month (if you do not mind telling)?

The best choice is simply too search for a number or package which will grow along with you so in 3 several weeks (as well as less based on your present traffic) it's not necessary to return here requesting help because your internet site is not operating properly or suspended.

In case your site out develops hostgator servers than I truly aren't seeing in which you would host the website on every other shared server. a VPS may be the next smartest choice.

I'd state that not's true and all sorts of is dependent around the host....that will result in the limited/limitless fiasco.

I have seen sites that fell apart of HG's servers and run perfectly on others.

I additionally would pick HostGator over Namecheap. I actually do agree that you will find lots of good hosts available. Possibly that you can do checking it around the WHT reviews. It will likely be in some way helpful to see because they have both good and bad comments there!

Despite Hostgator is really a overseller I have always seen them manage effectively. Never known of hostgator letting a server getting so have less assets that will happen. But when you seen it happen well I suppose you seen it happen lol.
I have always suggested hostgator to individuals for several years now. Since I locate them very reliable and try to online for support was nice... But last couple of chances I needed to speak with their support was absolutely terrible teeth tugging experience. Replies on live chat were really like 5 min to obtain "let me consider that for you personally". A number of them even lied in my experience, probably at the lack of a proper understanding.

Clearly limitless is definitely an oversell, however i still locate them quite reliable. They do not overload the servers a lot that you're hammered. I have never witnessed this happen between a large number of people hosting on hostgator for several years from shared and completely up to dedi (not that you could oversell dedi...)
Hostgator is the best for webhosting while Namecheap for domain registration. Hostgator satisfies your another needs too like security. However you will find another option available as webhost.
Thanks all for the imput.

I made use of one of these $.01 coupons for Hostgator and so i really have a month to try and whole system out. First impressions where good, Cpanel looked nice. However, the entire speed of this site seems to become slightly reduced than my old $2 per month host...

Anyhow once i compensated the $.01 for that hosting, I went onto there live chat and requested when they could restore my old site backup. I had been told to upload it and submit an application after which in under 10 minates, they tried it! Great service on that. I additionally had an issue with Cloudflare but which was my fault and also the support team resolved that rapidly.

Positives
+The support team are extremely useful
+Cpanel comes complete with many different helpful things/particulars
+They already know they're doing

Negitives:
-Personally i think that my website struggles just a little. I had been on the cheapy $2 per month host before (which over offered with alpha merchants and all sorts of that) also it appears my speed have reduced.
-The support queue lines are always HUGE. Somethimes I am 70+ within the queue however when you get there the support is excellent.

Overall they appear pretty decent. Should i be unhappy if this month expires I'll move my website to Namecheap

Many thanks for your posts.
