How's that hostcompare is located by
interland, and everybody states interland
sucks!
Because HostCompare, along with other 'top-ranking' sites available are absolutely garbage.

Should you take a look only at that URL : http://www.webhostingtalk.com/ubb/Fo...ML/000316.html (that is another subject in here) you will see Annette's explanation.
Myself did register my own account at HostMatters.com by Annette, very impressed and nice features. That's why I would like my very own server with Alabanza, soon I'll

They're good somewhat!
This is a fact, (about host ranking sites being filled with guess what happens). I really confirmed that being debated with someone a little more than a year ago. Following the bad treatment I received from AIT, I needed to allow the planet learn about it. I had been conscious of several sites that rate hosts and that i e-mailed everyone regarding the them, especially all of the testers I possibly could find. I had been starting to suspect the rankings of some companies, but did not know without a doubt these were taken care of.

I only heard back in one person (which did not surprise me after i learned things i did), and that we spoke on the telephone. He was no more with the organization I'd e-mailed, and that he explained that rankings for the most part of those companies were taken care of with advertising.

He explained a lot of other activities, including the truth that many of these rating companies were possessed by website hosts (gee, suppose) which even when they did not rate their host company, they'd possess a reciprocal arrangement having a similar fraudulent rating company. Quite simply "you rate my opportunity highly, and I'll perform the same for yours".

This is an industry wide collusion and scam to divert visitors to some terrible companies by looking into making them look a lot better than they're. There's no irony involved here, just lies, deceit, fraudulence and so on.

It's no surprise a lot of people get mistreated by a minumum of one company. Unless of course you believe to search for sites like that one, and discover them, you might a minimum of somewhat believe taht a business is going to do what it really states and treat you correctly, like they need your company ad infinitum. When you discover they do not which many lie, you learn how to become more careful, less having faith in and look for reliable assets for assessing the toughness for a number. It's really a time intensive, even extended, search to locate a trustworthy host and it is worth every minute and hour it requires.

Simply to let everyone know, whether you surprisingly is up to you, our 'approved hosts' aren't taken care of by sponsors or offered to sponsors, even though this is what many people think whenever a sponsor can also be an approved host or whenever we don't spend 24/7 scrolling newsgroups for bad reviews of approved hosts. We are soon to scrap to appproved hosts section soon anyway since hosts good from good to bad so rapidly and it is challenging up with the good hosts, as well as all of the hassle we obtain whenever we make reference to host the customer has an adverse knowledge about. It was among the primary reason we began webhostingtalk.com and scrapped the Host Investigator forum with advertisements.

There's soon truth in Duster posts I learned about a few of the bigger host directory, who there possessed and what there advertising restriction are or otherwise within the cases, although I wouldn't tell because it can not be demonstrated and those who explained would not back me up.

Also, netwhistle.com will monitor as much as 5 sites once an hour or so free of charge. Past that (more sites) or even more frequently will definitely cost ya'.

It opened up my eyes.
Annette and Krystal,

PCISD has got the correct URL - thanks PCISD.

I additionally recommend Netwhistle - at least 70 hourly, but it is sufficiently good to catch major periods of downtimes et. al. Not to mention, her best cost - it's free.

Netwhistle is fairly good, although I would suggest trying to ensure the reviews it gives, if that's possible, right after getting a report of the resource failure (and Netwhistle suggests this too).

BC, I figured someone was really trying out Net Mechanic's report results somewhere during these forums, however i don't remember who or where which was. I actually do appear to recall that you simply were reacting to that certain, although I possibly could be mistaken. Since I Have can't remember where which was to begin with, it's probable.

Another site for site tools is Website Garage. Netscape bought them this past year (try not to hold that against them) The URL is http://websitegarage.netscape.com/
