I'd expect if the would be a consumer web patrol agency, they'd their very own domain with email likely to that domain. Hopefully, I am way off base, however i would hesitate delivering email to that particular address as it may really be somebody from Vikmar appearing being an agency to assist sufferers out so they are able to privately have more details about you (anybody which has been reading through this forum for just about any period of time would agree there has been occasions where this kind of factor continues to be made by dishonest people).

Again, I really hope I am way off base here, but simply be cautious whom you give your data to.

Here's my take:

- Web01patrol did not read VikMar's acceptable use policy.
- Web01patrol violated that AUP.
- Web01patrol got kicked.
- Web01patrol got upset and turned for this.
Greytree, if this sounds like fruadulent, I'd doubt it's from the former customer of Vikmar. Rather, the purpose I had been attempting to make was which i suspect Vikmar might be carrying this out to discover who's saying bad reasons for them.

Again, hopefully I'm wrong relating to this. On the other hand, if the person really was thinking about helping people, I'd have believed they could have been watching this carefully and responded right now. The possible lack of a prompt response only appears further evidence of suspicious activity.

Lastly, I do not think gramatical and/or spelling errors have anything related to whether someone could be reliable. All of us make sure they are, I understand I've, and I have seen errors in the majority of the posts on these forums. Don't misunderstand me, I am inclined to accept a number of your points. I am just waiting to ascertain if this webpatrol person pans to be legit and has the capacity to endure further scrutiny by a few of the wiser minds about this forum...

Cheers,
tk

Yeah To be sure, that current email address does seem just a little fishy... The entire America online factor...
The Attorney General's office has been really quiet about anything coping with VikMar, IF there's indeed anything happening, as opposed to a pathetically immature attack.

Some things relating to this "Web01Patrol" which make me suspicious:

- "web01patrol@america online.com" Already pointed out.

- Where's Your Internet site? If you are an internet consumer protection agency, where's your internet site?

- If you are the best consumer protection agency, why don't you give a listing of what VikMar allegedly committed, by having an offer for additional particulars at the suspiciously missing Site?

- Have you got a telephone number I'm able to phone you at -- or can direct an agent from the Attorney General's office to achieve you at to allow them to confirm your story?

- Spelling/grammatical errors. "The BBB and also the Michigan's Attorney General's office - alerts customers..." Incorrect use of hyphenation.

- Fraud is really a consumer/business concern. Exactly why is the MSP involved?

- Contradiction -- when the Attorney General's office and MSP are looking into accusations, why would they "warn customers to step back"? "Investigating accusations" implies that there's not any definitive proof. Aren't we "innocent until proven guilty"?

- This individual skipped a parenthesis.

Here's my take:

- Web01patrol did not read VikMar's acceptable use policy.
- Web01patrol violated that AUP.
- Web01patrol got kicked.
- Web01patrol got upset and turned for this.

If Web01patrol was legitimately dissatisfied with Vikmar, then I am certain Web01patrol might have found other, more professional methods to express such displeasure than turning for this asinine, immature tactic.

I'm not connected with VikMar or even the Attorney General's office, nor shall we be held a Michigan Condition Trooper. The only real ties I must anything pointed out here's which i also live and operate in Michigan.
Err......I've got a feeling that it is really an angry ex-customer. I am very concered about the America online account...someone is simply attempting to screw VikMar over. I have didn't have any issues with vikmar, and that i locate them an excellent hosting service. I would just call the Michigan Attorney General's Office to ascertain if this really is real.

What can an ex-customer need to gain by misleading people in here if he's attempting to pursue action against Vikmar and gain allies?? That wouldn't make sense at all!

Either it is an ex-customer that's being typically honest, or it's someone connected with Vikmar trying trick people. (Incidentally, still no response out of this webpatrol person...?)

Yep, me too.

Almost per week . 5 with no response from webpatrol. Did we effectively call his bluff?
Good points, TK. However I guess the key reason why I selected around the grammatical and spelling errors was since the original message desired to appear so official, and that i just find it hard to think that the official organization wouldn't have proofreaders or spell-checkers....

And you are right -- it might not be an old customer. But simultaneously, maybe it's a former customer who would like to throw dirt on the company's title simply to "get back their way".

However again, this complete factor May be legit...I'm not sure. I am still incredibly concered about this, though.
